We are currently hiring full time and part time line cooks and kitchen team members for our Chace Mill location. We are looking for folks that have a positive attitude, solid work ethic and take pride in their work.

A day in the life at Pingala Cafe
Your day starts at 9am. First order of operation is to fire up all the equipment and set your station up for the day. Perhaps you'll pour yourself a fresh cup of coffee as you review the prep list for the day. You'll make rice, portion out burgers, cook off carrots, and make a cheese sauce etc. There will be 2-3 other people there with you depending on how busy the day will be, and together you'll bust out the prep and portion projects for the day. At 10am the restaurant open, and folks will start trickling in for coffee, baked goods, and breakfast sammies. You'll likely see some of our wonderful regulars (our customers are amazing) and chit chat for a bit. As things pick up towards lunch, someone will put on a DJ set, maybe the Martinez brothers, maybe Disclosure, maybe a local Burlington DJ (we love our local music scene). After the lunch rush, everyone will rotate out for a break, and you'll sit down for 20 minutes enjoying your choice from the menu. For the last few hours, it's time to power close, and together everyone will finish out the dishes, restock for tomorrow, wipe everything down, and close each station. You work hard to get it all done. You're in a supportive and professional environment, with management and/or owners on site. Sometime between 4-5pm the day is done, and you might wind down by walking down to the hall to take a yoga class at Laughing River Yoga.
